COMMOTION! is Leslie's latest creative effort.  The formula for this kind of fun is music + movement + drumsticks = joyful noise!  Classes are accessible to all women .  We do some rhythms seated, some with movement, and the next level is movement with the drumsticks.  As always, Leslie's lessons build as we travel through the layers.  Seat first, feet first, unless you wish to try everything all at once!  This is a culmination of Leslie's experience with world music.  Be prepared to let your hair down!

** Classes are ongoing at Ignite Movement Studio Saturdays from noon until 1:15.  Come on over!

Leslie of Tribe Elation has hosted dance/fitness classes called Bellyfit(R).  This is a one hour class designed specifically for women that incorporates world music and moves, particularly belly dance, African dance, and Bollywood.  Floor and core work follows the cardio section to complete the work out.  Leslie received training and certification and has taught both belly dance and Bellyfit.  If you want her to start leading classes, let her know!

Drum Circles are a great way to build community through the creation of rhythms together.  Whether West African, Middle Eastern, or created-on-the-spot, each drumbeat strengthens and evolves as participants enjoy the space and each other.  Check the calendar to find out when and where.  We will meet outside in the fresh air throughout the summer--free!
Who would have known that all those years as a kid with musical parents, the piano lessons, the high school and church choirs, the career as a public school teacher, the belly dancing, the performing, the drum lessons, the love and appreciation of all kinds of music would lead me to my training to be a deejay?  Now regularly co-hosting Casa Babylon and filling in for KCBX on a variety of music shows, I am busy and loving this new volunteerism!  See the calendar for the show updates.
Thank you for contacting us. We will get back to you as soon as possible
